Teaching process or assignment outline: (this could be an existing assignment, activity that you have developed and could be sent as an attachment or cut and pasted into this outline)
Students were asked to participate in the school wide program regarding energy and sustainability through the Lights Out Canada program. The members of the committee gathered and spent their initial meeting brainstorming ideas regarding what they could assemble and produce over the course of the month. The students were given the opportunity to produce materials that would require 30 minutes of student participation during the school assembly. The ideas that emerged included a video production, family feud based game as well as powerpoint presentation.

Evaluation Rubric:
This was a non-credit activity. Students were to share their understandings regarding energy consumption to their peers at a school wide assembly.
