Information
Description:

This activity is part of a larger environmental education workshop package called Critical Hope; An Approach to Environmental Education which includes almost 30 group or classroom activities.

This stand-alone activity is based on the work of Joanna Macy and can be used by teachers as a way to have classes introduce themselves to each other that goes beyond the simple name game style of activity and reaches a deeper and more emotional level.  Although it uses an environmental theme it could be adapted to any class.

If you are interested in exploring more of this valuable resource check out the whole manual which is described in more detail and available online on this COOL 2.0 database.  Critical Hope; An Approach to Environmental Education.
