Climate Change is one module of the innovative eCards eLearning program. It can be used as a stand alone activity; it is Lesson # 4 of the Climate Change Science Unit for Grade 10 Science.
In the online eCards environment, students conduct research on four key questions that cover the spectrum of the science of climate change to action. Embedded in the Climate Change eCards are videos and the opportunity for students to ask-an-expert. Then based on their research, they create an image and a message and email this to a friend, family member, teacher or community leader. All this takes place in a secure online environment managed by the teacher. eCards comes complete with a Teachers Guide and curriculum connections.

The climate change eCards research questions are:
1. Describe the anthropogenic greenhouse effect. What role does it play in global climate change?
2. Which two effects of climate change concern you most? Explain the impact that each of them could have on human lives and/or the Earth’s ecosystems during this century.
3. Why do you think the rate of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions has continued to grow while the rate of emissions of many other developed countries has fallen?
4. What can we do about climate change? Describe two actions that Canadians can take as individuals, two actions we can take as families, and two actions we can take as a nation to prevent the most dangerous impacts of climate change.
