TIGed is looking for the best examples of creative, collaborative, technology-rich global learning experiences from students and educators all around the world. We want to hear from you about projects and activities that have opened your students’ or classmates’ eyes to global and local world issues, and the different ways that you have used technology and social networking to achieve this.

Educators and students who are using technology to share global perspectives, understand world issues and develop cross-cultural communication skills.

There is no restriction on the types of media used to showcase how you are taking your classroom global! Some possibilities for submission are blogs, podcasts, lesson plans in TIGed’s Activities Database, TIGed maps, projects, member profiles, articles in Panorama, online images in the Global Gallery, a project page or even your TIG profile… it’s up to you!

The contest will run from March 1st to May 7th, and you can submit as many entries as you wish. Recognized submissions will have the chance to be featured in a TakingITGlobal publication, as well as to win great prizes! Prize winners will be announced at the 2007 National Educational Computing Conference in Atlanta.

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges within the TakingITGlobal community; prizes and recognition will be awarded for innovation, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, global awareness, the sophistication of the media format chosen and the level of ICT literacy displayed.

Submitting your story is easy: post content that showcases your project or activity anywhere on TakingITGlobal.org or TIGed.org and fill out the contest submission form to explain where your entry is posted and how this project or activity promoted creativity, teamwork, global awareness, and the use of technology for you and your classmates.

More specifically, follow these steps:

  1. Join or log in to TakingITGlobal.org
  2. Post details about your project anywhere on the site. You could:
