TakingITGlobal's online community provides a space for youth discussion, cross-cultural social networking, and access to resources that increase young people's capacity as agents of global change. TIG connects youth to both the global issues that affect us all, and the tools to solve the world's greatest problems.
Commit2Act is a mobile app that allows youth to sign on to commitments aligned with the social issues that interest them. Youth can keep track of their progress and get inspired by a community of youth changemakers. Featured actions connect young people with the campaigns of leading youth organizations, while photo sharing and leaderboard tools encourage interaction and collaboration.
TakingITGlobal is available in 13 languages, with over 200 volunteer translators supporting our multilingual platform. For non-English speaking members all around the world, our online community provides a gateway to resources and opportunities, along with collaborative tools supporting social action and community development.
Adobe Youth Voices aims to empower youth in under-served communities around the globe. The program provides youth with real world experiences and technological tools to help communicate their ideas, exhibit their potential, and take action in their communities.
YouthMovements.org is a collaborative program which connects and maps youth-led and youth serving projects globally. It aims to strengthen collaboration, knowledge sharing, and momentum across the sector.
Defining Moments is a national arts and citizenship project, fostering cultural participation with a goal of increasing young Canadians' understanding of, and attachment to, their country. Through regional workshops, the program facilitates an exploration of how participants' lives are shaped by key events in Canada's history.
The Sprout E-course equips youth around the world with project management skills essential to developing and implementing effective social innovation projects in their communities. Through facilitated online learning, Sprout builds concrete skills to support the design, planning, and execution of sustainable value-focused projects.
Tread Lightly is a free climate change education and engagement program offered with the generous support of the Staples Foundation for Learning®. Tread Lightly features innovative online educational tools and resources, designed to empower youth to reduce their ecological footprints and take action on climate change.
In collaboration with Microsoft and the Smithsonian Institution, Shout invites students and educators to take an active role in global environmental issues. Shout gives participants a framework for success with resources and tools for exercising social responsibility, while building collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
DeforestACTION is a global movement of youth and schools taking action to stop deforestation and create a permanent habitat for orangutans and other species that depend on forest ecosystems. The program connects youth, students and educators in collaborative learning and action through the use of online educational resources.
Change Inc. offers e-courses and workshops for Ontario youth aged who have an enterprising idea that can change the world. Through these opportunities, participants receive training in essential skills, including team building, project management, communications and leveraging technology to grow social initiatives.
TIGed empowers classrooms to understand and act collaboratively on the world's greatest challenges. The program supports educators to utilize technology to create transformative learning experiences for their students, building 21st Century Skills and fostering global citizenship, environmental stewardship, and student voice.
Youth for Change, in partnership with Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Inspires, Informs and Involves Arab youth as Agents of Change in their communities. Working with local organizations in the MENA region, the program encourages cross-cultural dialogue and supports youth-led development projects in all 22 Arab countries.
Offered by TakingITGlobal and the Centre for Global Education, the Global Encounters program brings together students from across the world through live video conferences that explore global issues and the potential youth have to shape a better common future.
GYAN is one of the largest networks of youth organizations ever created, acting as an incubator of global partnerships and a global information provider. The Network is known for its role in increasing youth participation within the United Nations System.
