Love Changes The sky embraced me, air kissed me
Earth spread soft petals all over.
When you said we were lovers forever
You made me feel special,
Distinguished me from all the others
I thought our love was meant to be
And I heard birds singing for me!

Your love was like the first shower of monsoon
Brought new life and buried all my despairs,
You took me in the ocean of love,
And promised a relationship which was true and fair.
I had trust and faith in you
That’s why I always wanted to be with you;
You made me feel special
Distinguished me from all the others
I thought our love was meant to be
And I heard birds singing for me!

But then one day I saw you with another freesia
Making her feel how you once made me feel
I saw you both sinking into each others arms;
Very much in love, you ignored the entire mien

I didn’t understand why you did this to me
Tore my trust and faith completely
I cried the entire night, and full day in search of the answer
And found out that it was not love, for you it was merely an attraction

Now the sky’s embrace suffocates me
Air’s kiss hurts me,
Earth’s soft petals turned into hard pebbles
And our love forever changed into a flowing river that stays nowhere
I know that our love was never meant be;
And those birds will never ever again sing for me.

Now when you have left me all alone in the middle, desolated and crushed
I have no path, no direction;
But I will not take a hop, or control my reaction
Because this pain gives me strength;
I’ll find new directions and make my own way
To reach at a place where there is only peace and no fray.

I don’t know whether I’ll be able to love, or trust anyone anymore
But it gives me happiness to see myself explore-
A new ‘me’, who was misllead somewhere in the ocean of endless nuisance and betray
A ‘me’ who is different, independent, a fighter… who will always find her way.
