Chamfered feet
Leaden legs
Weary eyes
Famished wrecks

Dusty skin
Parching throats
Dirty nails
Desperate blokes

Drifting moist
Distal trees
Spied afar
Oasis

Eager lunge
Fleeting foot
Straining cords
Tear a hoot

Mammoth splash
Gulping fast
Gurgling cry
“Safe at last!”
