its laughter ringing?
just my phone beeping
my heartbeat ticking
as velvet voices swishes
voices with soul and passion
much passion I lose caution
laying up my siege in velvet bricks
bricks mending my senses
my heart just stopped beating

now the surgical ward
heart resuscitation in a cot
careful incisions on velvet bricks
passion and caution clots
with tenderness my hands i glove
check the laughter
check the phone
slap the heart to beat
can you feel it
beating into rhythm
stronger it pumps
just like a locomotive
don’t you dare stop; feeling
