A Quick Contemplation on Life Versión Imprimible VERSIÓN PARA IMPRIMIR

Staring out from my balcony as the cool evening breeze blew over my face, I began a quick contemplation of the multitude of events that have passed in my life.

As I look back, with a hint of satisfaction I can surmise that all those events good, bad or worse have made a better person out of me. As is said in the Bhagwad Gita (the holy Indian scripture), “…anything that has happened, is happening or is going to happen is for the better.” I can vouch on that! It’s the passage of time that makes it clear why things happen. I’d like to add that by keeping faith in your inner voice (your conscience, some relate it to God) you can face and battle situations as they come however harsh they may seem. We often lack the confidence to face crises as we fear that we may be hurt or not make it, but success lies in simply passing through the crisis - whatever the end result - because that’s where you come out wiser.

We’ve all faced traumatic situations at some point in our lives, but looking back you’ll realize that the trauma has strengthened your mental core and has made you less vulnerable and more impregnable in your resolve. Remember! You appreciate light only when you have experienced darkness!!

As is said, Experience is the best teacher!

What is Life for?

Though I may be a Western Chrsitian, it doesn't meen that my mind is closed off to all Eastern ideas, in fact, I love them! The Buddha and Gandhi were excllent teachers, and just as much looked up upon by me as Jesus is as well for me! Expereince is certainly the best teacher. many times have I tried to do the right thing, failed, given into temptation and so have gone into darkness, as well as other troubles. But whenever I overcome them I am so happy that the light has reached me and that I am able to overcome the flesh! More to come later!
