  Poetry

One day, a friend tells her: “Life is hard”.
That night, she cries.
For realization perhaps.
For compassion perchance.

Awake,
Sitting in front of her balcony window,
She looks out into the city.
In the comfort of her own space,
The world is at her feet.

Afar,
All is unknown.
Around her,
All is familiar.

Between unknown and familiar,
Between night and day,
She sits at the edge,
Tearing and smiling.
Could boundaries be blurred?

Life is every duality.
And alone she stands in between.
This means but one thing:

She’s alive.

Tina Lee

Writing is my window. My feelings about words are best described through this quote by Emily Dickinson: "I know nothing in the world that has as much power as a word. Sometimes I write one, and I look at it, until it begins to shine."
Lift a pen to a paper, and discover the unknown.

Haha... Thank you Indrajit. Poetry is the primary vehicle of the pensive... ^_*
