Understanding Poverty
What is poverty? Is it the presence of hunger? Is it the lack of shelter? Is poverty not having a job or is it living one day at a time? Does Poverty represent powerlessness, lack of recognition and freedom?

This month of July we address these issues and work towards understanding the impact of poverty on our lives and lives of millions more. The theme, 'Understanding Poverty' not only aims at under covering the perception we have on poverty but also on how those in the unfortunate situation are surviving. They say more than a billion people survive on less than a dollar a day, but do we truly understand what that means to be poor and do we understand how it affects us. Share your experiences and your understanding of the too different worlds that exists in our society.

How well do you Understand Poverty

This month's challenge is to sensitize yourself to questions and answers about poverty in your Country and around the World. Test your understanding on the importance and prevalence of poverty right here.
