This report provides an overview over the situation for young people in 2005 and reviews the progress in the 10 priority areas identified in the World Programme of Action for Youth and the 5 new areas identified in the World Youth Report 2003. The report recommends larger investments in youth and that youth should be viewed as partners in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
