Love, Where Were You When the hearts rose up,
to higher hearing of the Head,
and made up a whole decision
where were you?

When the blood became bold
By building a body hated
When the boundaries of love and hate were broken
Where were you in that time?

When the spear never feared the soul,
When the special ones were slained,
Leaving sad and sorrow hearts
Where were you for sure?

When the tears became rivers,
In the eyes of the poor orphans.
When the crying was the only voice
that could be heard, where were you?

When I looked for you that long time,
Where were you my dear?
As I have not stopped looking for you
Would you tell me where you were?

THIS WAS COMPOSED BY SANDRA KARIGIRWA LOVE YOU ALL.

Note: At age 11, Sandra Karigirwa was orphaned by the Rwandan genocide and when she met me in 1999, she just decided to adopt meand now considers me as her father. I am honoured by this beautiful girl and love her dearly.

This is a great poem. But a I think we can't turn back the hands of time. She should take heart and see that there's even beauty in the beast. You did a great thing by accepting the adorption. But you must let her to see that love is more powerful than the past and what it can do to us. She must know that love is inside of her and she only can find it. Here I'm moved to remember William Shaksespeare. First, she must love her self and not count her self un-lucky. She should now see that love is asking her a similiar question, "where are you?". The choices we make carve out our lives and because others made the wrong choice and it affected her negatively should now let her know the power of the choices we make. And make her self availble for love. And not to think love unexisting and not to be afraid to show love. Peace and love.
