If tears could build a stairway
And memories could build even a short lane
We would walk right up to the park
Just as we used to do before
If I could turn back the hand of time
I would have loved to treat you like my mother
We would have had a nice time together
Cos when we became lovers
I thought it would be forever
Never thought our love won’t go far
My heart still aches in sadness
Waiting for who will bring me happiness
And just like fountain water flows
Secret tears still flow from my eyes
When you said our love will not die
I never knew you were telling a lie
I thought everything was alright
Not until the day you said goodnight
Though you've gone
I’ll always remember you
For your special smile, your lovely face
Your pretty figure, in my heart has a special place.

Writer Profile
Adeyemi Adisa

When I examine myself, I see writing as the only way to express my thoughts and have been wasting no time, however little, in ensuring that I express myself. This is an inspirational thought, potentially instilled in each and everyone of us, but the ways we express ourselves is the difference. I hope to meaningfully make use of most of my time and positively share my thoughts with others. You can check out my site (www.yemmmmy.co.nr) for more of my articles and poems.
