I loved you yesterday Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

  Poetry

I loved you yesterday:
I sensed all your lofty nature in my mind-
You were so special among the crowd,
Too shiny a spark, to star at-
The brightest moon among the stars, so bright;
You were so ripen an apple-
For a passer-by to, instantly, turn and stumble,
The great Creator must have invested his superb skill,
You have seen a bee, for a single shot, paying its life-
It adores the Queen and dies for the Hive.

It's different today:
I so loved my self the most-
I made my mind up to pay whatsoever it may cost,
For my self to have meaning in the living;
I will prove my shield again like the bee does for the Queen,
Not only because you deserve dying for-
But to bear meaning in my life some more;
Do you think it's too selfish, my dear-
To have you canned and put into a refrigerator?
