Hi
United States

What inspires you?

I am inspired when I hear about other people who volunteer at soup kitchens or events like the Special Olympics. When people raise money for important causes, I feel it is very inspiring especially after a natural disaster which can displace many people from their homes. When my Girl Scout troop held a soccer clinic for underprivileged children, I felt very inspired by the little kids. Although they didn't know the sport very well and may not have the best home environment, they were generally happy and willing to learn how to play the sport.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

An issue that matters to me is when underprivileged kids don't have enough money for sports equipment. So they can't enjoy sports like everyone else. I collected sports equipment and delivered it to 3 organizations. After the donation, my friends and I held a soccer clinic at the boys and girls club of Pequannock to teach the kids how to play.

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

To me, I good leader is someone who reaches out to their community and makes a difference. A person who is a role model to everyone else is a leader because they set the example for everyone else to follow. Besides that, good leaders help people in need and are caring, considerate, and respectful.

Do you think TakingITGlobal can help you achieve some of your goals? Have we already? Please tell us how.

I definitely believe that TakingITGlobal can help me achieve some of my goals. My goal now is to share the story of how I did my silver award project for girl scouts. In order to share the story of my silver award project I decided to publish an article on this website for the rest of this online community to view.
