Qu'est-ce qui vous inspire?

Knowing that I can create change inspires me most significantly. It fires me up to move beyond wishing for change, criticizing abnormalies, accepting mediocrity to acting significantly for change. This thought runs through my mind and makes a progressive person out of me. Each time I have to make a decision I find myself always moving away from why is it like this, to how can we do it better. Its showing up in every step and it gives me positive energy knowing that I can make change happen.

Parlez-nous d'un sujet qui vous tient particulièrement à cœur. Comment en avez vous pris conscience et comment avez-vous été amené(e) à vous engager?

For me corruption is Africa's greatest nightmare. It's kept Africa from its possibilities because corruption always keeps a people from rising to their true potentials. I first encountered it in high school as examination malpractice and in the University as bribing lecturers. Now am done with school and trying to grapple with unfit doctors in hospitals and corrupt politicians and tonnes of unemployed young people because a good number of them are not use to working on their own. Some are not even looking for opportunities. In January 2008, I started a company that works to integrate ethics, empathy and critical thinking into the educational experience of children aged between 5 and 17. With an inschool magazine in 22 schools in Plateau State reaching up to 5,000 school children. I’m take children out to carry out impact projects on May 27 and so much more.

Partagez vos perspectives sur ce qui fait un bon leader.

Leadership for me is about transformation. It’s a totality of process. Its wired up with the strong play of ETHICS - that keeps you from rigging an election, embezzling public funds, earning the trust of your people. EMPATHY - leadership will always demand that you make decisions over issues that may not directly affect you. A good example is Nigerian Politicians whose children school abroad, I would never ask for their children to come home but I will ask for schools to run in a way that puts less privileged people at some level close to par educationally with their global counterparts. CRITICAL THINKING – If Nigeria was without oil would you contest for an elective post? Leadership also entails the ability to have a vision that drives you. The ability to see opportunities and engage for the good of the nation. The ability to move your nation forward. This is what makes leadership for me.

Croyez-vous que TakingItGlobal peut vous aider à réaliser certains de vos objectifs? TIG vous a-t-il déjà aidé à le faire? Veuillez expliquer comment.

Yes, I do. its the synergy possibilities it provides that caught my attention. Keeping one posted with global development has a way of fostering widened perspectives to different issues. I find it highly educative for even starters through the sprout courses. I find it a highly resourceful platform. Its also a place where you draw peer energy for your work. I guess that's why its about "Inspiring, Informing and Involving". TIG is doing good.
