You may think they know nothing But they know a lot As we realized here on our field work We had to ask them for some explanation On some of the uses of the rivers They even had to write down on our hands The many values of the water resources So that we may not forget As we went ahead with our field work But as I left them behind Something kept on nagging my mind If they know so well Who taught them Then I realized They are natural scientists Then I asked myself What did we do to deserve them And I knew then That we did nothing to deserve them Only that they loved us so much To forsake us They are our mothers The mother figures of the world « return. |
