One decade’s like ten seconds. It’s like ten days of shine and rain. It flies by without any respite; What a trick nature pulls On all of us...that’s what I mean! I met her young and flowery On an alien soil - Site de Comé, In an unusual house – Camp, Filled with bans and banners A magnate force cordoned Her every turn, her every twist As we danced to the sure Beats of unusual drums; The times were ripe for bonds Then, now and forever, One decade ago today…today …and that’s what I mean! Passage of times and coming Of age are like breath-blows. Like arrivals and departures Of seasons, like every plus To life’s stretch, so much We owe to ourselves, As we toast to our ever…for That’s exactly what I mean! « return. |
