A friend of mine wrote this. I look into your eyes and what do I see, Love. A Love so pure, unblemished by sin or motive Love so unfailing that no matter what I do you will Always love me. Then I look down to see a hammer in one hand And a nail in the other I can’t stop my self as I place the nail at your wrist and strike I still see that same love unchanged and I wonder if this can be That you love us so much that you would still love me after I Nail you to this tree. I don't understand this love I will test it to be true I will cause you such pain that you will never want to love again So I continue to strike but this time with no remorse I want to prove you to be the fraud I know you are So I strike with all my might You cry out in pain, but you still have that love in you eyes That infuriates me even more So we hoist you up and drop you in the hole We laugh as you cry out in agony But you look down on me with that same love I start to cry, ashamed by what I have done But you look at my and say "I love you so much that I will die in agony for you" I begin to cry even harder Then you look up and say, " forgive them for they know not want they do" I lost it, I ran back to the barracks Then I heard that you rose again three days later That confirmed my deepest fear that you were God on earth I weep for days until you came to see me You came through my door I fell at you feet and pleaded for forgiveness You said that you have and always loved me I promised to serve you the rest of my days You said I will be with you always After that day I have always know you loved me Would never leave me « return. |
