Violence - End the silence Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by J, Canada Oct 20, 2006
Peace & Conflict   Poetry

Fight, Fight, Fight
First word coming out of every teen's mouth
Wherever there is violence,
Silence is never far behind.

Here and there,
Violence everywhere
Every channel you turn
Every movie you watch
Blood on the news,
The media, the streets.

Neither joy nor love in sight
Each passing day people dying without reasons or causes
Brothers and sisters hating on each other
Lovers not understanding each other
Friends not trusting each other
Gangs ruling the world,
Bombs blowing up from building to building
Wherever there is violence,
Silence is never far behind.

Families coming apart,
Hearts being broken
We judging each other too much
The anger, the power
THE HATE
That's where it all begins

Wherever there is violence,
Silence is never far behind.
