It is not an opportunity,
It is a responsibility.
Friendship gives no room for fear
It is always near,
It always gives an ear,
It hides no wrongs,
It keeps no record of wrong,
It is quick to correct.
Friendship is quick to encourage,
It strengthens courage,
It brings no sorrow,
It always hope for tomorrow,
It is quick to lend a dime,
It stands the test of time.
Friendship gives room for mutuality,
It promotes authenticity,
It helps accountability,
It supports-sympathetic,
It is always forgiving,
No matter the misgivings.
It does not gossip,
It admits weaknesses,
It helps one play,
It gives time for play,
It is sustained by caring,
And maintained by sharing.
