| Like the soil of the darkest desert Impossible for light to penetrate Darker than chocolate, lighter than coffee Roasted cacao After the sun goes down The opposite of fair Tinted or maybe gravy And my smile? As pleasant as sugar Natural as a single grass grown into bushes My eyes? As bright as the stars in moonlight As tender as a mothers’ touch My mind as strong and liberated as an eagle As dangerous as the eagle’s hunt Is that how I shall describe myself Or shall I leave it up to you? Better not, because I am beyond description « return. |
