| The flames of hunger is burning my understanding to ashes Grey ashes of insignificance Insignificance to the man that understands that plenty is his fatality while lack is my fate Lack of wisdom of why there is suffering for knowledge Hunger to know when the divine intervention of plenty will invade Invade the pain of misery and despair Depression of desolation Torment and agony I’m clueless… Clueless as to why my little children are going to bed without food, whilst your dogs are having a hot plate, Clueless as to why dog food becomes a necessary item on your shopping list, even though, the price of dog food is higher than that of a loaf of bread. Then tell me, is the stomach of your dog more important than that of my child? Excuse me, did you say family planning? What’s that? Going to the clinic for contraceptives? Did you know that that money I’d rather use for my loaf of bread? Are you ignorant or arrogant? As I’m stepping on the thorns of devastation Searching for comprehension and education Why lack of knowledge is my acquaintance An empty mind, my familiarity The skill of ignorance, my wisdom Is destitution our destiny? Penury our penitentiary? Neediness our providence? Is the chance for wealth, a deficiency? An impractical dream, an unrealistic seen Can you comprehend that, or am I going too fast for your thought process? « return. |
