A group of 4 students from Jose Gomes Ferreira School in Lisbon, Portugal, who attended a Young Masters Program online Course throughout last school year, are committed in helping out in eradicating poverty. From 17th October to 1st December several actions are going to take place at school, such as an exhibition from OIKOS about the hard work and living conditions of foreign immigrants and a conference about these issues. They are also going to keep on selling the ONE CAMPAIGN white bands, as well as the OIKOS ones and this organization Christmas cards. Moreover, they intend to collect warm clothes, blankets and other items at school, which will certainly be quite useful to those who are in need. Finally, before attending the Global Youth Environmental Conference in Dubai in December, where all their work will be shown, they are going to participate in a national campaign organized by another Portuguese organization, Banco Alimentar contra a Fome, which consists on collecting food for those in need. We know this isn’t much, but what if everyone started doing something? In the picture we are selling the white bands and the OIKOS ones too at another Youth Conference we attended in Poland last July.
