My reading audience, it is impossible to write on such a comparative topic without being bias toward the Christian religion, for it is mandated by God in His scriptures for a Christian to teach all Nations about Christ. The Christian religion is built on faith, love and endurance toward God and in keeping His commandments. Though science has tried to discredit the authenticity of the word of God and other religions with scientific means, for example, ‘evolution,’ the word of God has stood the test of time. Every aspect of human existence, from the creation of the world in the book of Genesis, to the book of Revelation, which indicates what is to come, is found in the Holy Bible. There are also scriptures written in parables for only the believers to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Many persons in the secular world see the Holy Bible as an archaic book of stories written by a group of men many centuries ago and would prefer to believe in the constitution of their country rather than in any book of religion. Christians believe the bible was written by inspired men of God to teach his people throughout the generations of the world until his coming.

A common factor in religions is the ascription to the God or gods of an interest in the behavior of humans and their judgment of what is right or wrong. Although the standards of morality attributed to God or gods vary enormously, laws must be obeyed. It is believed that retribution will follow where laws are broken. The general consensus of most religions is that there is a reward and punishment after death. Ritual practices such as penances, prayer, healing, festivities and sacrifices are also carried out. There are also teachings on morals and after life. Having viewed some of the theological aspects of some religions, Christians believe in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit known as the Trinity, which makes them unique in their belief.
A Christian is a follower of Christ, a religion founded from the teachings of Jesus Christ. However the Christian faith was practiced from the creation of mankind as mention in the book of Genesis, found in the Holy Bible studied by Christians. The question as to why one should follow the Christian religion may be looked at as blasphemy in the minds of many Christians. As a Christian one cannot be naive to the fact that the world consists of many other religions from which to choose. As a Christian one must be able to teach non-Christians and atheist the reason for being apart of the Christian religion. Though the Christian religion has been divided into many denominations, the word of God remains the same.

'Religion’, Latin ‘Religare’, is a bind, or the bond of humans to God. A research study shows that this is a code of belief of philosophy that often involves the worship of a God or gods. The belief in a supernatural power is not essential, for example, this is absent in Buddhism and Confucianism. However faithful adherence is usually considered to be rewarded, for example, by escape from human existence is found in Buddhism. For future existence, this is found in Christianity and Islam. Soka, Gakkai and Buddhism are religions for worldly benefits. Various religions include Ancient and pantheist, a religion of Babylonia, Assyria, Egypt, Greece and Rome. Animist or polytheistic traditional religions include Central African religions, (voodoo) related beliefs in Latin American, Caribbean, American Indians, Australian, Aborigines and Javanese. Oriental religions include Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, Confucianism, Taoism and Shins. Religions of a book include, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Bahaism, Unification Church and Mormonism are combined derivative religions.
The conflict of religions and various denominations takes place every day. One could ask, where did these religions originate? The bible states that in 1st John chapter 2 verses 18-22, “ little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist; shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the father and the Son.” Also, from the very beginning, Isaiah chapter 14 verses 12-14 indicates where Lucifer had been cast down from Heaven after having said in his heart that he will ascend into heaven and will exalt his throne above the stars of God, and will sit upon the mount of the congregation in the north, above the clouds, and will be like the most High. For such a thought, God threw him into hell. There is a major form of deception used by the devil, calculated in the misinterpretation of the Holy Scriptures that have caused many to go astray and have become advocates of the devil.

Writer Profile
Roderick R. Mckenzie Sr.

I am a writer in Nassau, Bahamas and I feel that my work is good enough to go to the world market. To the world, my writing may seem to be secular and opinionated but, all of my work is divinely inspired by God with Biblical references to prove it. My goal is to teach as many people about Christianity as possible. As a freelance writer I would also like some exposure to the writing market and a possible job as a Christian writer on the Internet.

May God bless messengers of God.
Ed Viswanathan | Dec 26th, 2002
I salute Mr. Roderick R. Mckenzie firm faith in the deity of Jesus Christ. May God bless him. World is far better of due to the self less sacrifice of millions of Christian missionaries around the globe. I am not even fit to walk on the sands on which Mother Theresa walked upon. All religions preach LOVE and COMPASSION but unluckily people kill each other in the name of their personal God and religion. Lord Buddha and Jesus taught the world to fight HATRED with LOVE. Lord Buddha taught centuries before the birth of Jesus Christ "Hatred is not conquered by hatred at any time, but hatred is won by love; this is an eternal truth" . Jesus Christ spoke volumes, when he said "LOVE THY ENEMY [Luke 6:27]" The Love Jesus Christ was propagating is beyond all human emotions . It is very spiritual. Hindu scriptures state BY SENDING POWERFUL THOUGHTS OF LOVE TO YOUR ENEMY, YOU WILL BECOME A POWER HOUSE OF LOVE. Hindu scriptures also state ANY THOUGHT YOU MAKE, CIRCLES AROUND YOU, LIKE BEES AROUND A FLOWER. So if you have thoughts of love, those thoughts will circle around you. The same goes for hatred thoughts. If you develop hatred thoughts, it will come back to you and destroy you like a boomerang! There are many ways to attain SELF-REALIZATION and Christianity is one of them. God said in the Hindu Bhagavad Gita: "Call me, by what ever name you like; Worship me in any form you like; All that go to ONE & ONLY supreme reality." EKAM SAT, VIPRAH BAHUDHA VADANTI [Rig Veda 5000 B.C.] Truth or God is ONE, but men describe it in different ways. We have to find ways to come together, irrespective of what religion we follow. amiahindu.com

Thanks but i wonder

dear friend our lord and saviour Jesus the christ son of Mary and Joseph declared boldly and spoke in public that ' iam the way the truth and the life, no one gets to the father except through me' then what of the other prophets and spiritual leaders like budha, mohamed, dai lama and many other leaders that are found in every ethnic community or group? you talked of the divisions in christianity, why are they there? was jesus human, divine or both and if both, how? who are these philosophers that people have fallen prey to? in what ways have they idolised or what do you mean by idolizing? when were the gospels written and how did christianity start? what is the difference between the story of the people of israel's search for meaning of life and existence and the stories of the rest of the peoples in the world? all along people have been looking and searching for meaning in life, for reason for existence and for the best way of life. we live in a world marred with suffering, evil and many other natural disasters. some people live lives that are totally useless and un apetizing, for example, the residents of fallujah in Iraq at the moment., it is now 2000 yrs since christ died and rose from the dead, afterwhich the cult that was christianity was accepted in the roman empire and everything was interpreted in terms of christianity. people were told to live dualistic lives with a stress on purifying the soul and projecting toward heaven other than living here and now. we are told that the world will come to an end when the lord jesus comes again, how this things? let us keep working in the vineyard of the lord our God but as conserns secularism and religions, we better be careful. it would be nicer to teach people to live in love, for that was the message of christ, other than promoting christ directly. we should not be ashamed of our lord and saviour but we should also bear in mind that this are interpretations and stories that have come down the lane with history. Jesus must have been trully inspiring but how sure can we be that history was not biased and that somehow in one way or another, someone did not mis-interprete our lord and teacher and eguated him to God in an ontological sense other than in a mystical sense just as we are sons and daughters of the lord in the mystical sense! where is heaven? is there satan and how does he work especially incases where someone is born with a certain trait like lying or stealing or just harming others and grows up with it to death? if there is a satan, who is more powerful, jesus, God or satan? pray for me for i do not like questioning but can we es cape such like guestions?
