My heart bubbles
with the wake of day.
Seamless evenings rock
the shores of night;
Thoughts, like canoes
berthed against bamboo
poles, dance furiously to
drumbeats of arriving
clandestine designs;
My heart sinks as I
set sail to sea, fearing
what lies in the bend
Ahead…but, it wakes
again with reassuring
smiles of morn.
