Solemn Face Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

The reason for a solemn face
Isn't because of where I am
but because of what is happening
to our world
to our time

look at a globe
put your finger on it
you smile and mock
but I cry

In that country there is violence
In that one there is famine
Here there is suffering
and there there is pain

Now in our world a child is dying
because we, the wealthy, could not spare a penny
Now in our world a mother is being killed
leaving her children to fade with out notice
a tragic death

many are worried
scared by war
many are still bleeding
shedding with little hope

this is OUR world
this is OUR responsibility
OUR time for change

not just in your home
neighbourhood
city
or country

In YOUR world
In YOUR time
For YOUR change

Let's take a stand
black and white
brown and red
American, Asian, African, European

Let's change the world
Let's change OUR world!

Put a smile to my face
