I pray the way my life is sinking would stop
Pray that writing will help me get to the top
I pray that war will not come my way again
Pray that peace stays by my side Amen
I pray that slavery won’t keep me in this jail
Pray that freedom pays my expensive bail
I pray that Mother Nature brings less storming
Pray that humans understand global warming
I pray that the land I own grows fertile fruits
Pray that it will develop strong healthy roots
I pray that god finds us a solution that’s sacred
Pray that it feeds the poor and starves hatred
I pray that our women will have high standards
Pray that inequalities in gender will be surrendered
I pray that Africa find economic salvation
Pray leaders stop steeling from my nation
God I pray
