Tragedy blows through life like a tornado uprooting our hopes and dreams tearing our family apart due to the words we speak putting down our own flesh and blood saying the words you are nobody with no goals in life to achieve do you see the tears you cause don’t ignore the prayers for our family to be tragedy is everywhere we turn Seeing a careless teen mom throwing her newborn away like it is a piece of trash a life that just begin but soon to end doesn’t she feel the regrets We turn on the news and hear that a fallen hero died fighting for our freedom leaving their loved ones behind a broken heart that the world has forgotten a new baby is born with no father to hold their hand through the toughest part of life we look in the newspaper and read the articles on teen killing our youth and we turn into to disrespect our own culture where someone’s skin color is turned away where can they go can’t feed their children cuz our money is going to war Where a child sees the brutal murder of their family it saddens me cuz we cry the same tears and see the same sky « return. |
