It was 12 midnight when we arrived at Bahay na Pula San Miguel Bulacan.

We were approached by the segment producer for PIPOL. She said that our objective is to identify the entities and elementals that existed in the area. This will help them create a better story for the Anniversary Specials for PIPOL, highlighting the challenge that was given to Ms. Ces Drillon in staying in a haunted house.

There was too much excitement in the group as this was the first time most of us have come face to face with paranormals, now with greater understanding. There were two teams assigned, the first team scanned the second floor where the bedroom and comfort room was formerly located, while the first team scanned the dining hall and the living room of the old house.

We were still in the living room when we heard this unfamilliar voice. We tried to scan where this voice was coming from. We tried to recognize if it was coming from the living or from the undead. "Si manong lang pala natutulog sa likod ng sofa!" (It's manong sleeping beside the sofa) we exclaimed in glee. After a while we scanned the walls of the house. There was this one particular corner in the living room that was emiting too much heat. A hot spot. We knew for a fact, that this being the case, something emotional happened in that area that left that psychic impression. The group sensed fear and hurting. "Nauntog yung babae dito" (A girl bump her head here) according to two members of the group.

We tried to find out what happened to the girl. The heat coupled with the elusive compass reading lead us to a room where we felt a strong push. Then there was this voice of a young girl sobbing, "inang...." The group trembled in that area. After a while, there was this entity that some of the members saw near the window. It was an image of a man wearing a white shirt looking in from outside. The head of the man was twisted as if it was hung or as though a blade slashed through its throat. It appeared to be a gray image then that gradually takes a form. This occurence happenned because it absorbed the dust in the house. The more dust it absorbs, the clearer the manifestation becomes.

There were so much pain that could be felt in the house. The greatest pain was coming from the comfort room upstairs where the compass reading clearly showed that there were manifestations in the area. Some of the members cried after scanning that place for some unexplained reason. Apparently a girl was drowned in that bathtub before being raped. There was too much suffering.

The creepiest area was upstairs in the terrace where an entity was peeking from outside. We could have buffered the ghosts so that they will no longer manifest but it was never our objective since they don't do harm to any of the people. They are just there watching the house, reliving their life all over again. As if, they are placed in limbo, because of their regrets, because of anger, because of pain, they try to change things but end up repeating them.

Two lessons the MG class learned from this experience; One need not be a born psychic to understand the paranormal. Although it helps if one can see these manifestations more visibly, sometimes it prevents them from reaching their objective. If a person can see ghosts and spirits the next question is what now? I remember a Nginiiig psychic telling of his/her intention of using his/her gifts for other people. I believe that this is such a great purpose. It gives him/her a reason to live despite seeing the undead all his/her life. One can always use science to explain things. There are processes involved and one bases his conclussions on the compass readings and the daulsing rod. Psychic impressions attached to plzces can also be felt after some training.

The next lesson is about understanding. If everyone feared these entities we could never help them. One must have a caring spirit to subdue the demons and ghosts. By caring this implies exerting your effort in identifying solutions how one can resolve a conflict and never sympathizing or being emotional with these entities. The cause of possession is that we feel for these entities. Always be rational less you want to be a paranoid.

There is still so much to learn. With the guidance of the people in MG class under Sir Ruel Ruiz, I believe that we will achieve our purpose. He often tells the class, there is a greater purpose for having Nginiiig as a show. Scaring people is just one way for media to appeal to the interest of the masses. The real purpose of the program is to promote understanding so that eventually, the paranormal need not be coined paranormal anymore. When spirits can be better understood we will understand why he/she is so afraid. Why this person keeps on hiding him/herself, but I guess that is something one needs to just accept. When we tell someone we love him/her, the other person need not ask the 'why' or 'what'- the other person can only ask the 'how.' I believe that the same goes with the understanding of people or spirits. We never asked the 'why' nor the 'what' we just accept and start answering the 'how.'
