Tonight's Fight Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Samori Sombel Sy, United States Sep 17, 2005
Child & Youth Rights , Human Rights   Poetry

Goals were set without my consent
Did they forget that I represent more than fifty percent?

Meetings were held without my participation
Don’t they know invitations should be given to all delegations?

I am not going to give up the fight
My right to voice my taught tonight

I have the power to attract a crowd
Make them motivated to scream loud

If I am not experienced my peers will train
Make sure I learn the proper way to campaign

I am not going to give up the fight
My right to voice my taught tonight

Hope is not all I have to bring
My plan is the words of Martin Luther King

Promises I make aren’t words in vain
They are humane plans achievable with my brain

I am not going to give up the fight
My right to voice my taught tonight

We are the braves the young soldiers
Who march and get beat but still keep their composers

We are the energetic team
Ready to give birth to their dream

No tonight, I refuse the give up the fight

Writting is like a weapon, you can use it in a positive or negative way. I try my best to use it positively by promoting the well being of society as a whole, and bringing up different issues that the world and humans face today.
