Don’t Cry Over Me (you forgot we were only pawns) Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

When there is a misunderstanding
The world seems a hot furnace
There seems to be no former understanding
But there was ever that grace
We hardly try to adore what we have
Until it goes away down the valve

Though we'd lived together
Something told me we were apart
I heard the story altogether
With some little part you act
But like is with me all the years
I believed not without some dares

Maybe never were meant to be
For you treated me so badly
Now you say that you love
It sounds foul, filthy and makes me cry greatly
As it seemed to me a folly
That you should make love a liar's story

We could still live on
But I know deep down
The old days can never again come
I don’t know why it is a clown
Pretends so much wisdom
It would be a utopia, our kingdom

When next you find someone
Open up your heart, dust it clean
Yeah, that's where the dirt is
It is not on the floor of the room
Your mind is not ordered as it is
But you mistake it for the misplaced broom

Don't cry over me
We were never meant to be
That's what you showed all through
Now you act like it's not true
Alas! I can't trade my poor heart
To a game of mines and hearts

You forgot we were only pawns
But you wanted to be the bishop
Only to see you have to spurn
A nasty web in our shop
Alas! It was you it caught
Now you want me to get a cut

No!

I have heard that life is like a piece of music;it has to end somewhere yet we are obliged to enjoy the music a long as it lasts.

It matters to me that I be in tune with my individual feelings irrespective of the several forces that come to bear on it, because, that is all I have and can lay claim on.

I grew up a little kid who had everything at his disposal, or at least I thought so. I was sure my fees would be paid and other kids came to our house to play and hardly ever the other way round. This only left me handicapped later on in life when I realized that I actually have to fend for myself and needed to reach out to others to get certain things done. Things may always be around the corner yet we have to step out and take hold of them.
