Peace & Conflict   Poetry

The eyes that shine as bright as ever
Send chills and steels to every shiver,
Not knowing they could go too deep
OH, WHO OWNS THOSE EYES OF THE CREEP?

The hands that feel as cold as ever
Can turn the tide in every river,
Not knowing they could hurt a grip
OH, WHO OWNS THOSE HANDS THAT WHIP?

The lips that speak as sweet as ever
Can't make the hurt feel any better,
Not knowing they could really shatter
OH, WHO OWNS THOSE LIPS THAT CONQUER?

The face that caused a great encounter
Can't hide the rage that's getting stronger,
Not knowing it doesn't really matter
OH, WHO OWNS THE FACE BEHIND A WHISPER?

The soul that crossed a thousand borders
Had killed over a million soldiers,
Not knowing this could ever happen
OH, WHY DID IT FINALLY REACH THE END?

The man that fought all dangers
And befriended all that were strangers,
How did he ever endure a struggle
In a definitely unworthy battle?

And oh, how could he go unnoticed?
When everything just left and perished?
He couldn't face the truth without tears
And leave his more than a thousand fears.

And so uncovering the shadows he walked
With a voice he knew could always talk,
The world knows little of this perfect outcast
Till he was covered with an equally perfect blast.

Writer Profile
Feyikemi

WRITING IS MY PASSION. I have always loved writing - both in English and Filipino.

I would like to believe that I have touched some people's lives with the feature articles and poems that I've written in the past. And I hope my future writings will affect many people.

I delve into the deepest and darkest areas of the human soul, where very few people deal with and many prefer to suppress.

My style is always to let out angst in a creative way.

I also write about love, joy, and inspiration and I'm looking at sharing them here.
