Through the lens
I can see that society
is bawling for little peace
and less misery.

Growing up in the ghetto
with no food fi eat
A gun inna mi pocket
a sure source to feast

Via gun
mi mother seize fi breed
Via gun
mi father lose him 2 feet

Now,
mi son stab a boy
cause him step pon him toe
him couldn't mek di boy
dis him so.

Via lens
violence is the solution
for the youths in our society
who live what they learn.
