in the judicial room
there sat my lord
who frees and sentences
accordingly

in the witness box
there stood an accused
though a virgin
but adjudged guilty

and you are hereby
sentenced to death by hanging
here i rest my case
and arose was mylord

in the prison yard
every hour of seven to twelve
a condemned must die

in the judicial room
many are condemned
but some are indeed innocent
