When the sky was clear and the air was sweet
When I ran and the ground seemed to greet my feet
When a promise was a promise and used to keep mine
It was then when I was young that my world was fine

I was my mother's angel, my daddy's little boy
I was so cute and harmless, just like my favourite toy
I was the best that I could be, perhaps it wasn't really me
A time at which, without a doubt my soul was truly free

Happy when it thundered and torrents wouldn't cease
Happy when the droughts would wreak their havoc on the trees
Happy in all circumstances, nothing pulled me down
To remember all those happy times, I wear a constant frown.
