| As I viewed the minute lives under the microscope, I saw certain beauty in all of them. Some are so elegant and artfully colored like the Indians and the Massais of Kenya, others are tall and slender like the Fulanis of Nigeria. Oh! I saw impressive beauty in the ruggedness and toughness of others like the Bushmen of Congo. Still, I saw beauty in feminine and tenderness of myriad of bacteria like the Dutch living below the sea level. And there is hidden beauty in forms, frames and fitness. Yes, I saw certain beauty in heights, in depths, in lengths, in breaths, in the great Canyon and Mount Everest. The hydrological beauty of Dutch dykes, troughs, tunnels and channels. I saw real beauty in trees around, and flowers that bud, and birds that sing, and wasps that sting. And there is hidden beauty in pains, pricks and pressure. Oh! What a peaceful beauty in flowing streams, waterfalls, and rolling waves. The beauty of the sunset, the blue sky, and the silent nights when all the stars shine away. There is a beauty in the sustainable use of our environment. I saw certain beauty in combination of the colors. I love the colors of my white friends, reddish Indians and black Ugandans. There is a beauty in a thin slender fellow and there’s a certain beauty in my fat friend. And I’m aware of beauty in the conduct of life, in actions, in character and there’s a beauty of the virtue. There is the beauty of inner decorum and ordered configuration of life. There is beauty of harmony in certain a combination of words: in poetry and music. Oh! What alluring beauty of softness of the feminine body like the bear’s fur and the beauty of thrilling tinge in a certain combination of feminine voice: touch and odour. Beauty so desired. And I’m aware that you are beautiful too. Yes, all of us have a certain beauty in us that can be expressed so beautifully and if well articulated can add beauty to the world. And the inventor of all these beauties must be a beautiful and sustainable creator and the most intelligent being for “He hath made everything beautiful in His time.” Eccl.3: 11a. « return. |
