Hustling behind the walls, Calling of room numbers, The boys watch and wait. One, five, ten minutes go by, Then she finally appears. She had to check her make-up Two, three, five, seven times, Before finally coming out. Then the conversation centers on what happened today, How he was a hero, or how she was a heroine. Promises to pull the heavens to the earth, If need be, to make each other happy. It is all hope and promises Tomorrow will be bright. Hope no dream is shattered, No promises unfulfilled. « return. |
