In these Streets
I was born
Bound by my fears
I must stay here
To repay my Mother’s Sins
In these Streets

In these Streets
I become
The very thing I hate
Imprisoned by fate
Within the walls
Of these Streets

In these Streets
I live
Forced by my father’s Choices
I breathe pain and uncertainty
Limited by the margins
Of these Streets

So when you take a walk
Down one of these streets
And you see a child
Eight, nine or ten…
Just remember,
They never had the choice
So they must live
In these Streets.
