| I took a look out the window of life And I began to see the truth that lies in our paths The fear that chases our dreams away The reality of pain is too much to bear I took a look out the window of life And I saw the false happiness, predicted by our leaders The bid to find a joy Is lost in the dishonesty of those we call friend I tool a look out the window of life And I saw a child go by unfed and unwell Standing next was one who had it all What a pain to see a cold heart turn away. It’s funny how we love The things that matter only to us It’s funny how much we want Others to accept us But the pain lingers on. I have too much pain When I think about the world today And how much it’s gone wrong I have too much pain When I see the Children Who must lead tomorrow Die from the pain they suffer today I have too much pain And as I lay to sleep At the end of my day I wonder How can I help take the pain away? « retour. |
