I am a rose, you are my thorns
Clutching to me, protecting my blooming petals each day.
I am the sun, you are my strong rays
Helping me shine, shine brighter day by day
I am a great lake, you are my water
Filling me with ideas, dreams, hopes and ambition
Expanding my opportunities, building my faith and motivation.
I am a tree, you are my leaves
That shade the ground I stand on, preventing it to dry
I am a heart, you are my beat
Full of life you beat rhythmically to my every breath
I am me, the person you want me to be
You are you, and you are with me
You are here to share my fear, pain, sadness and fulfillment
Now you are here to stay, to be part of me,
My whole life is filled with joy and excitement.
