THE PETALS OF LOVE ''HOMMAGE TO MY LATE UNCLE FESTUS FON'' Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

I dream of this tale of love
While the clouds slowly drift
In grand beds of cotton buds
Lofty in height and pure in space
Lovely like a queen, young and fair.

And though she drifts by with the clouds
Longing for some joy unborn
Which time alone someday define
And give birth to a plant of rose
Young and airy my love soars
Still she drifts by with the clouds.

Love is not that song so often heard
Of dreams, of beds of red roses
Veiled like some poetic statement
Enduring passion, faith, hope love is.

Her life I hope one day to share
Earnest in joy and graceful like a bee
Remind me, she drifts by with the clouds.

Readily, I lay in wait for you as I have always done; Simple

CHO RANSOME
