Those who have friends that care
Cherish them with care
For you never know the heartache
Until you see their vacant chairs

To hear your voice
To see you smile
To sit and talk to you a while
To be together in the same old way
Would preciously be my dearest wish always

You gave me many things in life
Gifts, some great and small
But most of all, you gave me is love
The greatest gift of all

If I shed tears
Then you would wipe me dry
You would say I love you
You hug me, cuddle me and say you care
Of all blessing great or small
To have had you for some moments was the greatest one of all

The friendship chain is broken now
And it makes the blood in me flow slowly
Hope we will hook up again once more
Because without you I’m always bored
And have opened my door
Anxiously waiting to have you back in my world

Writer Profile
Adeyemi Adisa

When I examine myself, I see writing as the only way to express my thoughts and have been wasting no time, however little, in ensuring that I express myself. This is an inspirational thought, potentially instilled in each and everyone of us, but the ways we express ourselves is the difference. I hope to meaningfully make use of most of my time and positively share my thoughts with others. You can check out my site (www.yemmmmy.co.nr) for more of my articles and poems.
