Peace & Conflict   Poetry

Oppression, no more
Freedom, no need to fight for
Every yearning heart no longer sore

When the days were gloomy years
When the nights were nothing but tears
When words were sinful lies or mere fears

Our heroes are piles under clay
They paid their lives for a holy way
We all should’ve cried out that “nay”

Life is too short to waste in a nightmare
Breathing hate and weakness everywhere
With no comfort but a castle in the air

When the marshes were dead
When the in common was to dread
When the days were stained with red

All for one and one owns all
Long live the one, let the others fall
The one is everywhere; the one is on the wall

It’s time to stop craving for the right
And start doing it since tonight
No one but we will take us to light

Where no more living a mess
No more always yes
No more all the time regress

This poem has texture... my emotions run over it like a familiar story done in brail.

Lost for words.. >hugs< Iraq still has a hero while you continue to shine my dear~in your white heartedness, kindness, sunny disposition and progressive attitude~you are an inspiration, source of hope and a symbol of a better world. Never change Hammodi :) Your friend Always Maree "Wherever you stand be the soul of that place"
