My Fowls Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Awosusi Oluwatope, Nigeria Jul 19, 2004
Child & Youth Rights   Poetry

My two fowls are taking me for granted
Maybe because I want them to be enlightened
I have been feeding them with feeds
Which will enable them to withstand challenges
My dream for them is that –
They will grow fat
In wisdom and understanding …
They are thinking
I am disturbing them
And that I do not allow them
To have their peace
Nobody tells me all these
Because action speak louder than voice
Man is man and boy is boy
My fowls plan against me
They wage war against me
If my fowls can do this to son of man
What will others’ fowls do to son of man?
The world is changing
A world of actions without ending
