It was a sunny day when we decided to walk on the beach. Everything was perfect; the sun was shining on the horizon, spreading its bright color on the surroundings. And the sea was so blue, the sky was clearer than ever, as if it were only a reflection of the sea. One could feel a slight gentle breeze of fresh air that gave a strange feeling of excitement. My friends and me were playing and singing all daylong. We enjoyed everything at that time and we felt it was the happiest day in our lives.

Everything went smoothly and happily when all of a sudden, we heard a very loud noise coming from a remote place. We could not figure out what it was or where exactly it came from. Unfortunately, these questions did not bother us for very long because as we were talking, the ground started to shake under us, and the noise got louder and louder. We could not wait any longer to know what it was. We felt terribly scared, so we just ran away.

We kept on running, but it was too late. "They" were here, I did not know what they wanted from us, but I knew that they were dangerous. As we were running, some of us stumbled and fell on the sand. We tried to help them, there was no time; they were faster than we were and reached us in no time. I got so terrified and I ran as fast as I could. While I was running, I could hear my friends screaming and I knew they were taking them away. At that point, I was crying and running hysterically, I felt so cold. Then suddenly I couldn’t feel anything. I could not hear the noise or the screams any longer, what I could see was the sun fading and sinking in the sea, and the red sky was shrouded in blood. I fell and was captured with the rest of us, and after finishing their work, they took us all and drove away.

Soon after, I found myself in a dark place and the first thing I noticed was that I could not move, and found that all of us were stuffed in one very tiny place. I looked around and noticed that everyone was there and we were all fine. I felt happy for that, they captured us but at least put us all together. But my happiness did not last long, we felt very hot and the heat was increasing as time passed. We tried to escape, but we could not. We tried to make a hole to get away, but the place was tiny and they put us in strange vertical position that we could not move. My friends cried out in pain, as we burned from the heat. We looked at each other in terror, realizing that they buried us alive. We lost all hope and as the place got hotter, silence reigned. Finally I knew it was the end, my life passed in front of my eyes, and I could hear the voice of my father, the great crab, who always was telling me "The future is uncertain and the end is always near, so my son, be prepared and rule fairly and let other crabs be your companions" My father was a truly the greatest king the species ever knew. After I remembered my father I felt so relived and peaceful. Suddenly there was no sound at all and the heat decreased, the last thing I heard was, a sharp voice saying "Honey, dinner is served" then a devilish laugh.
