Peace & Conflict   Poetry

War guns raged through the air
Crying was heard here and there
All were in danger
All were in pain
There were those who would be gone forever

Some shouted and shrieked
When will this end?
This was unknown though for there was no one to protect them, no one to defend
It was a loss
It was a defeat
These people would all surely die

Then through the dust a devil figure then came
He shot and he fired through the flame
A child he then saw
A child he then realized
Was the message, the sign, the saviour he needed

He lay down his gun
This killing was no fun
It was not right
It was not joyful
It was not the answer
