| Can I come, striding in gently Into your culver house? I will not flutter the dovecote Not stir the cosy nest. I’ll be still by your side Learning your rune and rhyme Steps, strides an’ styles Then, we’ll dance together Like the swiftest ballet dancers In a breathtaking display of beauty An’ drift across the vale an’ plain I’ll guide you through The fright of the game Away from scoffs and jeers of the wind Gently grooming and stroking Your flurry feather. Then, we’ll dance again It’s going to be a lifelong dance. « return. |
