(Jason)
I’m really glad that I have a chance to join the “Four Nations Classroom Program,” and I am really excited that I can make friends with people around the world. On October 12, we had the first meeting with Nicaragua, and I really had a great time sharing our culture and information with each other. Although I couldn’t understand every single thing they said, I could feel their passion. I’m looking forward to our next video conference and I hope I can have a successful presentation for them.

(Charlie)
It surprised me that the school in Nicaragua has Chinese lessons; maybe it symbolizes that English is not the only language that has become mainstream. A student there had even been to Taiwan. I think all of this implies that Taiwan has a recognized status in the global community.

After this Video Conference, I have learned that:
a. Nicaraguan students have uniforms like we do.
b. Nicaraguan schools do not separate students into different groups, which is different from what happens in Taiwan. Students select lessons that they want to study.
c. People in Nicaragua enjoy different types of food. Main food ingredients consist of rice and beans.

(Sam)
After this Video Conference, I've learned something about Nicaragua:
1. They learn foreign languages.
2. There is a famous lake with clear water and sharks.
It surprises me that they also have Chinese lessons. They must have spent much time learning it.

(Lydia)
The first connection with Nicaragua was a special experience for me.
I was surprised at many things, such as the main meal for them is rice and beans and their snack is usually made with corn.
They introduced lots of popular food in Nicaragua, but the name of those foods are so long and special for me that I can't remember them very clearly.
In the video conference, their smiles made me feel that they are very friendly.
Also, I thought that their school is very beautiful.
I look forward to the next connection with them!!
